Meet Dr MargaritaKitova-John
MD, MRCGP, DFSRH, MSc, FP
Dr Margarita underwent medical training in Europe and eventually graduated in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2004. Early in her career, Dr Margarita developed a clinical interest in women's health, sexual health, gut health, medicine management, and clinical leadership. Working as a front-line GP for ten years, Dr Margarita became convinced that many common chronic conditions have deep and complex causes and that symptomatic conventional treatments are not getting to the root cause.
During her medical training, she gained versatile experience in various clinical settings. She completed her GP post-graduate training on the Isle of Wight, fell in love with the place and has resided there ever since. In 2020, Dr Margarita developed an interest in lifestyle functional medicine and completed a post- graduate degree from the Functional Medicine University.
Dr Margarita has extensive clinical experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health and is also a member of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. also has a Master’s degree in health service leadership and has been involved in the establishment of a local GP Federation.
Dr Margarita is now a member of the British Medical Association, Medical Defence Union, and Royal College of General Practice. She is passionate about root/cause medicine, sharing her knowledge and empowering her patients to recover and live healthier lives.
"After more than a decade of working as a front-line GP, I have come to understand that the vast majority of chronic diseases are a result of the modern lifestyle: the food we eat, the stress we endure, and the toxic environment we live in. I believe the majority of them are preventable and reversible with the right holistic interventions.
I have learned and witnessed that the human body has the ability to repair itself. We must understand that the body's reserves are limited and that ageing negatively may affect the natural healing processes."
